Två nya recensioner i arkivet, David Cronnenbergs film "A History of Violence" och en rejäl DVD-box med "The League of Gentlemen: The complete collection.
"A History of Violence" var en lite smått omtalad film från härom året som jag haft liggande i hyllan osedd ett tag. Men i fredags åkte den in i DVD-spelaren och det ångrar jag knappast. En mycket bra film, och en mycket bra DVD-utgåva, precis som det ska vara.
Boxen med "The League of Gentlemen" köpte jag i London i november. Jag hade hört talas om serien - enbart till dess namn - av en engelsk kompis och hade på känn att den skulle vara något för mig. Själva boxen säger inte så mycket men innehållet talar för sig själv. Jag citerar från baksidan av boxen:

Over three series and a Christmas special we follow the strange, macabre and shocking stories of some of the residents. Along the way we meet the toad-breeding Denton family; Barbara, the local transsexual taxi driver; 70's band Crème Brulee's guitarist Les McQueen; schoolboy magician Dean Travalouris and many, many more.
